Can you just use a standard digital camera to take a picture of the gel through the orange filter? Has anybody tried this? Also, any idea if this system would work with "GelRed" http://www.biotium.com/product/price_and_info.asp?item=41003&Sub_Section=09A . Excitation and Emission spectra are shown in link.
