   Hi,

   Saw your project on diybio, looks very good, commendable effort to make things more open and available.

   I had a couple of questions about your commercial offering Peal Gel Box, is it ready?
   Does it include a universal power supply (110-220, I'm in UK) saw that was a sensible requirement in your Jan 09 specs on (Open Gel Box 2.0) Front page says it doesn't include a power supply however the hardware page says it does.
   What documentation does it come with?

   One other thing at bottom of your first page you state:

   Get started in DIYbio
   Hack your genome! Ancestry, eye color, height — start with a strawberry first.

   It would be very nice if you actually did post a complete tutorial+video using your Gel Box.

   Hi Martin,

   Thanks for the questions and comments. Yes, after months of hard work, the Pearl gel box is ready for you to use!

   The videos are a great idea -- I like the idea of getting users involved, sharing pictures and videos so we'll working on figuring out how to enable that.

   The included 5V power supply mentioned on the hardware page powers the LED illuminator. To use it in the UK you'll require either an USA-Universal adapter, or to a separate power supply.

   The electrophoresis power supply (usually ~100 V) is something you'll have to locate yourself -- the DIYbio list can point you to some UK vendors. For biologists in the USA, we recommend this power supply.
